Using cellphone data to track our movements

With lockdown regulations already in place restricting the movement of people,

government now wants to use cellphone tracking to trace people's movements.

It’s believed that this could help to locate people, who might test positive for the coronavirus.

But there are concerns this could lay the foundation, for government to exploit our private information.

We spoke to UCT public law expert, Cathy Powell about this development.
