UWC denies evicting students

The University of the Western Cape has denied booting students from its campus residences.

Instead, it says it’s offered vacation-stay students alternative accommodation while it completes deep cleans and maintenance as part of it COVID-19 response.

But several post-grad students say they’ve been moved from their rooms despite requiring to remain close to university resources to complete their studies.
