Western Cape crematorium backlog

Undertakers in the Western Cape say they're having to transport bodies to other provinces for cremation due to a backlog at local crematoriums.

Funeral industry insiders say families are having to wait up to a month for the remains of their loved ones because of these delays.

Earlier this week a truck transporting close to 100 corpses was pulled over by authorities in Cape Town.

The truck was en route to Despatch in the Eastern Cape.
