Patrick Mofokeng Takes on the Powerful Role of Bra Jafta in Isitha: The Enemy

Johannesburg, 29 October 2025 - Isitha: The Enemy, e.tv’s gripping telenovela, welcomes one of South Africa’s most respected actors, Patrick Mofokeng, to its powerful ensemble. Known for his commanding performances and emotional depth, Mofokeng steps into the role of Jafta, a man fighting to reclaim his life and purpose after a troubled past.

Jafta was once a professional boxer with a promising future. Jafta’s life took a dark turn that led him behind bars. Now an ex-convict trying to rebuild his life, he juggles odd jobs while striving to prove that he is not defined by his worst mistakes. Seeking redemption and emotional healing, Jafta reconnects with his sister who happens to be Rebecca Mabuza, and finds himself falling in love with the matriarch of the Sokhulu household, Nomsa.

Driven by a desire to make a difference, he channels his passion for boxing to mentor young men like Velaphi, guiding them away from crime and helping them manage their anger through discipline and sport. His relationship with Chuma is more complex — both caring and combative — as he tries to steer him away from the dangerous underworld that once destroyed Jafta’s own path.
However, Jafta’s journey toward redemption is not easy. When Chuma begins to exploit his prison past, Jafta must confront the painful question of whether he can truly escape the shadows of his history.
