Johannesburg - The SAFTA Award-winning soap opera Scandal! is set to heighten its narrative complexity with the return of notable actor Makhaola Ndebele as Reggie Pheko, the father of Dintle Nyathi. His character's reintroduction is scheduled for 17 July 2025, promising to deepen the dramatic stakes within the storyline.

Reggie's return to Scandal! is getting more complicated. He finds out that his daughter, Dintle, is in a polygamous relationship with a man named Nhloso Gasa. This brings up important questions about how much parents should get involved in their grown children's lives when it comes to complex relationships. 

Dintle needs help from Reggie for the lobola negotiations after her family, the Setukes, cuts ties with her. Will Reggie help his daughter, or will he try to stop her from making what he thinks is a big mistake?
