POWER, CORRUPTION AND SURVIVAL COLLIDE IN MOTHER OF ALL
The criminal underworld has many faces — and in Mother Of All, every layer comes with its own dangerous rules. From ruthless township kingpins to untouchable criminal elites, the gripping new drama pulls viewers deep into a world where power is currency, loyalty is fragile, and survival comes at a devastating cost.
From an eVOD Original to primetime television, Mother Of All premieres on e.tv weeknights at 9:30PM, bringing audiences a high-stakes crime drama packed with betrayal, ambition, and fearless women fighting against impossible odds.
At the center of the story is Duke Zaxa — the feared and calculating township kingpin determined to dominate every corner of the criminal underworld. Intelligent, ruthless, and power-hungry, Duke is not satisfied with controlling street-level crime. His ambitions stretch far beyond the township as he pushes into political influence, business manipulation, and organized syndicates. To the outside world, Duke presents himself as untouchable, but behind the scenes he rules through violence, corruption, intimidation, and fear.
But even Duke answers to a more dangerous force.
Operating in the shadows are the “Crime Power Players,” later known as the Big Five — a hidden criminal elite controlling the township’s economy, underground networks, and political systems from behind closed doors. Unlike Duke, their power is protected by money, influence, and institutional connections, making them far more dangerous than the gangsters on the streets. They are the invisible hands shaping the city’s criminal empire while remaining protected from exposure.
Caught between these two brutal worlds is Nolwazi “Nono” Mathebula, played by acclaimed actress Zenande Mfenyana. A former police detective recently released from prison after serving a long sentence, Nono is desperate to rebuild her life, reconnect with her daughter Fufu, and restore her relationship with her deeply religious mother. But her hopes for redemption are shattered when a dangerous gangster frames her daughter for murder.
Forced into survival mode, Nono assembles an all-women crew of ex-convicts and takes the fight directly to Durban’s criminal underworld. As she becomes entangled in Duke’s operations and the influence of the Big Five, Nono must navigate betrayal, corruption, and impossible choices while trying to protect the people she loves most.
Mother Of All is more than just a crime drama — it is a layered story about power, motherhood, survival, and resistance. As the lines between justice and crime begin to blur, viewers will witness how ordinary people are pushed into extraordinary battles against systems far bigger than themselves.
With explosive action, emotional storytelling, and gripping performances, Mother Of All promises a thrilling ride through the dangerous intersections of crime, politics, and family.
