Happiness and Rose fall in love in a small village in South Africa. They would like to get married, but their families keep that from happening.

Happiness decides to enter a race with his old taxi in order to win prize money to pay for his lobola. Happiness will be allowed to marry Rose if and only if he can pay the required lobola.
Skorokoro is a South African TV Film directed by Darrell Roodt. It was nominated for a Golden Horn award.

This movie follows an intellectually gifted seven-year-old who becomes the subject of a custody battle between her maternal uncle and maternal grandmother.

Frank, a single man raising his genius niece, Mary, gets into a legal battle with his mother, Evelyn, over her custody. However, Evelyn will do anything to make Mary complete her mother's project.

In St. Petersburg, Florida, seven-year-old Mary Adler lives with her uncle and de facto guardian, Francis "Frank". Her best friend is her 43-year-old neighbour, Roberta Taylor.

On her first day of first grade, she shows remarkable mathematical talent, which impresses her teacher, Bonnie Stevenson.

Gifted is an American drama film directed by Marc Webb and written by Tom Flynn. The film stars Chris Evans, Mckenna Grace, Lindsay Duncan, Jenny Slate and Octavia Spencer.

Hidden Figures

Three female African-American mathematicians play a pivotal role in astronaut John Glenn's launch into orbit. Meanwhile, they also have to deal with racial and gender discrimination at work.
Katherine Johnson works at the Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia, alongside her colleagues Mary Jackson and Dorothy Vaughan. All of them African-American women, where, the units, where they work are segregated by race and sex.
White supervisor Vivian Mitchell assigns Katherine to assist Al Harrison's Space Task Group, given her skills in analytic geometry. She becomes the first Black woman on the team; head engineer Paul Stafford is especially dismissive.

Hidden Figures is an American biographical drama film directed by Theodore Melfi and written by Melfi and Allison Schroeder.

This movie is loosely based on the non-fiction book of the same name by Margot Lee Shetterly about African American female mathematicians who worked at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) during the Space Race.

The film stars Taraji P. Henson as Katherine Johnson, Octavia Spencer as Dorothy Vaughan, and Janelle Monáe as Mary Jackson. Kevin Costner, Kirsten Dunst, Jim Parsons, Mahershala Ali, Aldis Hodge, and Glen Powell featured in supporting roles.

This movie follows police Detective Michael Dooley (James Belushi) and his faithful German shepherd dog partner, Jerry Lee, who have been working together for 10 years. For Jerry Lee, this means that the canine is quite old, and has a hard time keeping up with police duties.

Joining the pair is fellow officer Wendy Welles (Christine Tucci) and her tough Doberman pinscher. Together, Dooley, Welles and their respective dogs attempt to track down a gun-wielding psychopath.
K-911 is an American buddy cop comedy film released direct-to-video, a direct-sequel to K-9, and the third instalment in the K-9 film series.

This movie is directed by Charles T. Kanganis and stars James Belushi as Detective Michael Dooley.

The Lincoln Lawyer, Friday, 7 January, 6:15PM

Defence lawyer Mick Haller lands a case defending a wealthy realtor's son who is accused of raping a prostitute. Believing his client to be innocent, Haller soon finds evidence that proves otherwise.

Criminal defence attorney Mickey Haller works in LA County, California, mostly from the back of his black Lincoln Town Car, chauffeured by Earl Briggs. Most of his career has been defending low-end criminals, such as a biker club led by Eddie Vogel.

The Lincoln Lawyer is an American legal thriller film adapted from the  novel of the same title by Michael Connelly.
The film is directed by Brad Furman, with a screenplay written by John Romano, and stars Matthew McConaughey as the titular lawyer, Mickey Haller.

Included in the stars, is Ryan Phillippe, Marisa Tomei, Josh Lucas, William H. Macy, and Bryan Cranston.
