This week on Smoke & Mirrors 

Jaxon faces mounting political pressure and is forced to negotiate with Zwelethu over control of the coal depot. When Zwelethu rejects Jaxon’s bribe and demands full authority, Jaxon reluctantly signs over control — but resentment brews. Martha scolds Jaxon for his public humiliation, and his frustration deepens when he discovers Zwelethu has cut his salary to increase workers’ pay.
