Smoke & Mirrors - Vengeance is Mine

Hello reader, I'm Thandiswa Mseleku. By day, I weave magic with my nimble fingers, twisting and twirling my clients' hair into intricate styles. But as soon as the sun sets and the shadows grow long, I transform into a lady of the night, twisting and turning through dingy corners.

But behind it all, I am consumed by guilt that weighs heavily on me. It gnaws at my conscience like an insatiable beast, reminding me of the choices I made. 

It’s been five years since my sister Xoliswa was brutally violated and murdered. It’s like a part of me was there, the blood, the violence, and the cruelty she had to endure. It kills me every day. The pain of losing her has never left me. It was supposed to have been me! 

We were always inseparable, from birth and even now in death. uXoliswa visits me often, it's like she's stuck between worlds, not fully here in the physical world, but not fully gone either. She’s blurring the line between reality and illusion, following me, demanding justice and retribution against those who took her life. She has never let me forget the horrors of that fateful night. 

I cannot afford to let this go, I will do whatever it takes. Even if the darkness consumes me. I will hunt them down until they pay for what they did and release my sister’s (wegazi)* spirit from the torment of their crime so she can finally rest in peace. Her murderers are known as the Unholy Trinity, but they weren’t always a trio. They were four ruthless, wicked men with no conscience. I've already taken one of them out - Luthuli Ndzimande, and Jaxon, is next. 

It's time for each of them to meet their end, ONE BY ONE … Vengeance will be mine.
