 He never lifts a finger. He has henchmen to do his heavy lifting for him, but nothing gets done without his instruction or approval. His heritage is unclear. When his father was killed, he took over as the man of the house and started working, first being an errand boy for gangsters, then progressing up the ladder until he could open a club and later a strip club. 

Obviously one doesn’t just leave the gang life behind, so while he is not a gangster in the classic Cape Flats sense, he is most certainly still connected to the underworld and has the protection of gangsters. He gets frequent visits from businessmen, police officials, and gang bosses alike. He has deep pockets and shallow morals.
