This week on Smoke & Mirrors: The Healer’s Curse

Leroy begs Nomeva to fight for him from the afterlife, and though she sends a warning, he fails to see it. Thandiswa becomes convinced that Jaxon killed Nomeva, even as Zwelethu remains uncertain. As the community mourns, Songanga urges Leroy to destroy Nomeva’s skhwama, and her memorial unexpectedly draws the entire town, leaving everyone emotional and overwhelmed. A traditional vigil is held in her honour, and Leroy and Mamiki reflect on the powerful funeral they have just witnessed. Their grief deepens when Leroy discovers he, Thandiswa, Sakhile, and the shocking addition of Ngcuka revealed to be Nomeva’s son are all beneficiaries of her estate.
