Police are investigating the motive behind the killing of three people in Lamontville over the weekend. Among the deceased is a teenage girl who was shot in the head. Today, four suspects linked to the brutal murders

Student protests at the Mangosuthu University of Technology, have escalated significantly over the past week. Roads have been blocked due to the protests, which form part of a national shutdown of universities. Police used water cannon to disperse students. Our reporter Nabeelah Shaikh, is there.

It’s been more than two months since matric pupil Mmeli Ngcobo was kidnapped outside a Newlands West School.
Police have now released the identities of a man and woman who are allegedly linked to the case. Ngcobo was kidnapped after being accused of stealing his classmate’s cellphone.
His mother made a heartfelt plea today, calling on police to find her son.

Relatives of three people who were shot dead in an Eastern Cape village on Monday say they're struggling to cope. A local traditional leader, his daughter and a tavern owner were shot dead in Xhwili village in Bityi by six unknown men, who allegedly posed as police officers. It's alleged the suspects went to the traditional leader’s homestead and searched the home for a firearm then forced him and his daughter to accompany them to a nearby tavern. Mbasa Khwaza has more.
