EFF leader, Julius Malema and MP Mbuyiseni Ndlozi returned
to the Randburg Magistrate’s court this morning.

The pair are on trial for allegedly assaulting a police colonel,
at Winnie Madikizela-Mandela’s funeral in 2018.

Our reporter, Graeme Raubenheimer, has the latest on the court proceedings,
and also some drama that played out during a break in session.

EFF leader Julius Malema and EFF MP Mbuyiseni Ndlozi, are back in court on assault charges today.

They are accused of assaulting a police officer at the funeral of Winnie Madikizela-Mandela in 2018.

The South African government is working on getting self-proclaimed prophet Shepherd Bushiri and his wife Mary back in the country.
The Bushiris breached their bail conditions and fled the country to Malawi last week.

Two years ago students from the University of Pretoria started the Walk For Access initiative. The group managed to raise hundreds of thousands of rand to assist students gain access to university, by walking to various destinations around the country. This time around the group decided to tackle the long road from Durban to Pretoria, all in the name of awareness around the challenges students face. They started their journey on May 4th and arrived at their destination today.Along the journey they targeted schools to raise hope for future tertiary education while also asking for donations.
