Every morning we kick-start our day with a nutritional dose of current affairs, fitness, cooking, and comedy, but who are the people behind The Morning Show?
e.tv’s new breakfast show premiered on Monday, 7 May and we decided it’s time to meet the presenters!
Adé Van Heerden
Adè is a firm believer in the power of women. She believes that society as a whole benefit when the women within that society are uplifted and empowered. For her the key to success is unlocking that primal spiritual connection that has always been the strength of women as a whole, enabling them with the necessary tools and granting them the opportunity to reach their full potential. Being a medical doctor, a lieutenant in the SANDF and Miss South Africa enables her to be a healer, a protector, and a role model.
Michaella is a vivacious and dynamic South African performer. She’s an actress, voice-artist, presenter, writer and a model, and is best known for her role as Charlie Holmes on the SABC3 soapie Isidingo. She will also be appearing as one of the feisty characters on Agent, the TV drama series set to hit both local and international screens later this year. In addition to the above acting performances, Michaella was also the host of the live tv-show, Funatix on SABC3 over the course of 2016 and is presently a host for China Hour, a show that celebrates the union of both South African and Asian cultures on Cape Town TV.
Jason Goliath is one of South Africa’s top comedians and in July 2015 and July 2017, Jason was recognised as one of Africa’s best comedians and invited to represent Africa in Montreal and Canada at the Just For Laughs Festival. With more than 11 years professional MC experience. He was also the host of his own Late Night Talk show on SABC 3 in 2016 and is currently the newest presenter on SABC 3’s Safta nominated show, The Man Cave.
Tino is a proud Zimbabwean and takes every opportunity to represent his country. He’s walked the ramp for Designers such as MAXHOSA by Laduma, Naked Ape, Tokyo James (Nigeria), Ephymol, Sheria Ngowi (Tanzania) and Xipixi. Not only has he been a presenter on the Channel 0 Top 5 drive, Top 6 MTV Base VJ Search, and Craz-e Summer Challange; but he also has a degree in Marketing and Management.
With a Bachelor of Arts in Media from the University of the Witwatersrand, Tumelo first made her mark on local South African screens through Soweto TV’s young women empowerment talk-show called SISTAS. She’s hosted Morning Live, One Day Leader, The Chatroom, and anchored bulletins such as Newsroom and Prime Time news amongst others on the SABC News Channel. It is her vast experience and natural onscreen presence that saw her being headhunted by Russia Today International News in 2015 to become one of the news channel’s main anchors and correspondents at their headquarters in Moscow. Tumelo Mothotoane is also an emerging entrepreneur who founded a communications company called EST Communications. However, apart from her media and entrepreneurial commitments, she’s a highly sought panel facilitator, event MC, and public speaker.
